Description
The Patek Philippe Calatrava Reference 3563 is a distinctive vintage automatic wristwatch produced between the late 1960s and mid-1980s. Part of the iconic Calatrava line, it is best known for its unconventional “backwinder” crown, positioned on the case back rather than the side, giving the watch a sleek and minimalist profile.
At its heart lies the innovative Caliber 350 movement, featuring a peripheral rotor—a bold technical experiment that allowed for a thinner case while maintaining automatic winding efficiency. This design choice reflected Patek Philippe’s pursuit of modern engineering solutions during a period of stylistic evolution.
