Description

This exquisite pocket watch stands as a remarkable example of Patek Philippe’s early stem‑wound and stem‑set creations. During the 1890s, the company was producing fewer than twenty timepieces per day, each crafted with meticulous attention to detail. These rare watches not only embody technical innovation, eliminating the need for a separate key to wind and set the movement, but also showcase the artistry and refinement that established Patek Philippe as one of the world’s foremost watchmakers.

The enamel indexes are nice and intact, some scuffs marks one the piexl glass, barely visible with the naked eyes. The case is in good overall condition considering its age with minor surface wear, there are small pinhead dings near 3 o'clock . The movement is running at the time of cataloging, however, it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement.
