Description
The history of OMEGA began in 1848, when Louis Brandt set up a watchmaking business in La Chaux-de-Fonds. His business was innovative in that the work was divided between different production units, each specializing in a particular part of the movement. All the components were then assembled under the brand name "Louis Brandt." In 1880, they launched the first caliber in the series, "Le labrador." This caliber was a real success and allowed the brand to develop rapidly and hire nearly 250 people during the year. By the end of the decade, the factory had become the largest in the Swiss watchmaking industry, capable of producing 100,000 watches per year.
This vintage Century is a yellow gold manual wind wristwatch, case in 18K yellow gold, size in diameter 30 mm. Brown leather strap with yellow gold pin buckle. Silver dial with Arabic numeral. Small second hand at 6 o'clock position.

FairThe watch is in overall fair condition. Case has signs of scratches and surface wear throughout commensurate with age. Bracelet has signs of stretch, scratches and surface wear throughout commensurate with age. Buckle has signs of scratches. Crystal has heavy signs of scratches and surface wear throughout commensurate with age. Case back has signs of scratches. Dial, indexes and hands have some oxidized spots throughout commensurate with age. The movement is running at the time of cataloging, however, it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion.
