Queens native Teddy Santis founded his lifestyle brand Aimé Leon Dore in 2014, inspired by the effortlessly cool streetwear he saw growing up in New York City while immersed in hip-hop and basketball culture in the 1990s. Known for versions of old-school streetwear classics like tracksuits and 5-paneled caps, the Aimé Leon Dore brand brought a new elegance to the streetwear category, while maintaining a deep understanding of the city and its roots.

The Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 993 ‘Brown’ is one of two 993 colorways designed by Teddy Santis in collaboration with New Balance. An update to the original 2008 release of the NB 993, the 2021 ALD 993 combines features from the 911 and 992 versions. The sneaker debuted in the Aimé Leon Dore Fall/Winter 2021 lookbook and quickly became a coveted sneaker for collectors looking for a rugged shoe.
