Description

The first of Ulysse Nardin Discovery Sets, here is one of the 100 limited-edition units released for the Christopher Columbus Set. Presented in an elegant porthole box are three exceptional timepieces: an 1846 Marine Diver (Ref. 263-58), an 1846 Marine Chronometer (Ref. 263-22) and an 1846 Marine Annual Chronograph (Ref. 513-22). All three differ from the standard production models, as these feature display backs and specially finished movements.

The Marine Diver 263-58 features a three-body solid stainless steel case measuring 42.7mm in diameter with ridged bezel and a transparent caseback secured by six screws. It has straight lugs, a screw-down crown, a matte dotted silver dial with applied blued steel hands and luminous shape hour markers. It has a large subsidiary seconds dial, an up-and-down indication below 12, and a date aperture with cyclops lens at 6. At its core is caliber UN-26 rhodium-plated with 28 jewels and 42 hours of power reserve. This timepiece is fitted with a black rubber strap.

The Marine Chronometer 263-22 has 38mm round stainless steel case with white dial and blue Arabic numerals and luminous dots for hour markers. It has a blued steel spade hands and a power reserve indicator at 12. A magnified date window is at 6 inside the oversized seconds subdial. This watch is powered by Caliber UN-26 automatic movement with 28 jewels and Oeil-de-Perdrix decoration. This timepiece has a 200m water resistance.

The Marine Annual Chronograph 513-22 has a 40mm stainless steel case and a matte silver dial with large double window date below 12, a month display between 4 and 5 o'clock, Arabic numeral hour markers, and luminous blued hands. Two subdials are present for the 12-hour and 30-minute registers. On the dial's outer perimeter is a tachymeter graduation. Visible from its transparent caseback is caliber UN-51 with Oeil-de-Perdrix decoration and 43 jewels. The watch is fitted with a stainless steel bracelet with hidden folding clasp.
