Autographed letter by Jackie Kennedy to Oleg Cassini, 17 February 1961.

  • Washington, D.C.: The White House, 17 February 1961.
  • Six manuscript pages in blue ink signed "Jackie," written on the recto and verso of two bifolium sheets of gold embossed "The White House/Washington" stationery.
  • Signed “Jackie.”
  • Accompanied by the original postmarked envelope addressed in Mrs. Kennedy's hand.


Early in her tenure in the White House, the First Lady writes: “Jack ADORES his ties — they are so perfect — I thought I would never be able to get him pretty ties again — now that I can't go to my old haunts — but these are better than any I ever saw.”
