The Hans Mayer Gallery Düsseldorf began with a Josef Albers show in 1965 and concentrated on constructionist art in the following years. In 1969, Hans Mayer was the first to show Andy Warhol in Düsseldorf. The gallery later added exhibitions by further standout artists, including Frank Stella, Ellsworth Kelly, Bill Beckley, Robert Rauschenberg, Roy Lichtenstein, Tom Wesselmann and Keith Haring in the years to follow.
