A large pair of Satsuma vases from the Meiji period.

- Heavily gilded and painted with numerous scenes of samurai around various shogun with gilt borders and floral details.
- Raised on carved bases.
- Unmarked.

GoodIn good condition with wear to gilt consistent with age and handling.
One vase with a visible hairline crack on close inspection starting four inches above the vase and stopping two inches from the mouth rim.
