Description
A highly innovative creation from Harry Winston’s Rare Timepieces division, the white‑gold Tourbillon Glissière showcases a dramatic skeletonized movement developed with master watchmaker Christophe Claret. Limited to just 25 pieces, it features a tourbillon paired with a unique winding system driven by two sliding platinum weights that travel along vertical rails, powering the watch through a mechanical linkage on the reverse side. The open worked dial reveals twin circular displays, one for the gear train and one for the flying tourbillon, visible not only from the front but also through lateral apertures in the rectangular case. A linear power‑reserve display at the base completes the locomotive‑inspired aesthetic, giving the watch its distinctive kinetic character.

The watch is in overall very good condition with minor wear throughout commensurate with age. Light scratches visible on case and buckle. Prior service history is unknown. The movement is running at the time of cataloging, however, it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement.
