  • Letter thanks Mr. Straus for his service and friendship and mentions "the serious problems that lie ahead."
  • Jesse Isidor Straus (June 25, 1872 – October 4, 1936) was the son of Isidor Straus (1845–1912) and Ida Straus (1849–1912), both of whom died in the sinking of the RMS Titanic.
