  • Porcelain collection of one tureen, one platter and eight side plates.
  • Hand-painted botanical motifs with gold teeth rims.
  • Each piece is labeled underneath with the Latin name of the flower depicted in the design.
  • Platter purchased in Copenhagen with tiny chip to one of the teeth, so marked as a second; others acquired by Sotheby's.
  • Crafted by Royal Copenhagen of Denmark, 20th century.
  • Collection commissioned in 1790 by King Christian VII of Denmark for Empress Catherine the Great of Russia.
