Beginning in 2014, Pharrell Williams and adidas teamed up to produce an evolving line of sneakers. The Human Race collection, which dropped in 2016, was created to commemorate the human race, and the designs featured Primeknit uppers, white boost midsoles and a new lacing system. NMD, short for Nomad, is a casual sneaker that combines past design concepts with new technology. 

This rendition of the Human Race collection comes in a black colorway and was exclusively released to the public at ComplexCon 2017, in which N.E.R.D was the headlining performance. The upper consists of a black Primeknit with inscribed reflective lettering. "Y.O.U." is featured atop the right shoe, while "N.E.R.D" can be found atop the left shoe. The design is finished with a full-length Boost midsole and a trail-ready outsole.
