Description

  • Vintage stoneware pottery figurine by Hugo Liisberg for Saxbo.
  • The sculptor Hugo Liisberg (1896–1958) would visit the zoo to study the animals for his sculptures, which show in his work's high level of realism.
  • The base bears a factory mark and initials HL.
  • Glaze is black, cream and brown with blue undertones.
