Second printing of Graham's illustrated work which documents the crocodile's profound influence on the native people of Africa.
Inscribed with drawings on the half-title by Beard to Don and Iris Hunt and extra-illustrated with a 1975 Christmas card on the front endpaper, two inscribed photographs on the half-title (one with dried insect), black-and-white photo of same elderly male subject as depicted on page 84 reading Eyelids of Morning, taped on pg. 83. Beard's friends Don and Iris Hunt were co-founders of the Mount Kenya Wildlife Conservancy.
