Description

George III sterling silver teapot on stand made by Hester Bateman, London.

  • Sold as a set of 2.
  • Teapot with ovoid body, straight and tapering diagonal spout, capped looping stained-wood handle, and hinged and raised cover with leaf-mounted ovoid stained-wood finial.
  • Stand with beaded rim, oval well and tapering sides, and raised on four ball-and-claw feet.
  • Both with engraved Neoclassical ornament and vacant armorials.
  • Fully marked.
