  • Illustrated, with sepia frontispiece and plates with tissue guards in each volume, and decorative capitals at start of essays.
  • Part of a limited edition, numbered 942/1000. 
  • Signed in ink by the author on the limited-edition page.
  • Volumes 1-2, 7-18 numbered "942", volumes 3-6 numbered "742."
  • Spines are brown with gold print, raised bands, boards are half bound with brown or green leather to spines and corners and green paper to boards, text blocks have gilt top edge, deckle edges, green ribbon markers.
