Description

The reference 6263 was introduced in the late 1960s.

It retained the black acrylic bezel like on the 6264 but added extra water protection with screw down chrono pushers. The movement was also the calibre 727. The model continued to be offered in stainless steel and gold until 1988.

The 6263 is the ultimate evolution of the manual winding Rolex Daytona and is one of the most famous watches in the world.

The gold version of the reference 6263 was the first serially produced chronograph that was officially certified with the COSC.

The Reference 6263, thanks to its timeless design and the quality of its components, is rightly considered as a masterpiece of horology and a must-have in any serious collection. Furthermore, yellow gold versions are even more sought-after as they are much rarer than their steel counterpart.

The contrast between the black subsidiary counters and the champagne dial, nicely echoing the gold case creates a most striking effect, providing unparalleled charisma to the timepiece.

This visual identity was further increased through the special request of the original and sole owner to have subsidiary and chronograph hands matching the background.

That splendid livery as well as its original distinctive parts such as the matching bezel and pushers fitted on a case with attractive proportions and beautiful warm oxidation patina make this watch and exceptional piece.
