Description
White Lines Dancing in Printing Ink, by David Hockney, 1991.
This original lithograph in colors is hand signed in pencil by the artist "David Hockney" in the lower right margin. It is also dated in pencil "90" (1990) next to the signature. It is hand inscribed in pencil PP II (Printer’s Proof II), at the lower left margin.
This is one of only two printer’s proofs recorded aside from the standard edition of 35 and ten artist’s proofs. The paper bears the blind stamp of the publisher in the lower right corner.
Other impressions of this subject are held in the collections of Tate, London and Walker Art Gallery, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
