Description
As a release in 1945 to commemorate Rolex’s 40th anniversary, the Datejust surpassed its predecessors by being the first automatic wristwatch with an automatically changing date window at midnight. The Oyster case introduced in 1926 offered a resolution to an unaddressed need: resistance to water. With such groundbreaking features, the Datejust quickly became one of the world’s most popular luxury timepieces.
Introduced in 2005, the 116233 replaced the 16233. At this time, Rolex established an engraved rehaut and polished and slightly thicker lugs, maintaining their signature model but enhancing minor features.

Very GoodThe watch is in overall very good condition with minor wear throughout commensurate with age. Case is in overall very good condition with light surface wear. Bracelet is in overall good condition with minor surface wear. Dial is in overall very good condition. The movement is running at the time of cataloging, however, it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion.
