Description

Carlos W. Desrosiers (American, b. 1988).

Sotheby’s is honored to present this curated grouping of works for sale to benefit The Andy Warhol Museum in partnership with No More Rulers. Proceeds from these sales will help to sustain The Warhol’s mission to provide a forum for artists, scholars, and the public to creatively interact with the life and art of Andy Warhol.

Born in Queens, New York to Haitian immigrant parents, Carlos Desrosiers’ artistic techniques were divinely taught without formal artistic training. His techniques and vast knowledge of a variety of healing modalities—such as Universal Laws of Physics, studies of the Subconscious, Kinesiology, Taoism, and Power of Intentions—offered Desrosiers the unique gift of observation and manifestation of celestial forms that Desrosiers channels through the healing frequencies of paint. The artist’s pieces awaken self discovery in the observer through universal connectivity. Piece 0008 of the What You See collection invites the observer to explore hidden knowledge and aspects of self, with intentions of cleansing and rebirth. Each piece of the collection is personally given life force energy by the artist’s intentions and potently charged by Desrosiers supernatural healing knowledge and powers.

NO MORE RULERS (NMR) is a platform representing empowerment, respect, and progression in the art world. NMR partners with leading international institutions, legacy artists, and estates to validate creators through channels of connection, exhibition, and distribution. By connecting audiences with narratives from both top creators and new voices, NMR hopes to empower the creative community and help rethink the status quo.
