Description
The company RGM, named after its founder and chief watchmaker Roland G. Murphy, was launched in the early 1990s with the release of the 101 Chronograph. Murphy's designs are influenced by historical makers such as Breguet, and over the years has produced watches in series and commission pieces. The 102-JC is one of two case designs with a jump hour complication. The 102-J was released with a rectangular case. The present 102-JC stands out with the cushion case. The “C” stands for cushion for the case shape, and the “J” is for jumping hour.
Condition Report
GoodThe watch is in overall good condition with light wear throughout commensurate with age. Case is in overall good condition with minor surface wear. Generic strap has minor signs of surface wear throughout commensurate with age. Dial is in overall good condition. Caseback shows minor signs of scratches. The movement is running at the time of cataloging, however, it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement.
