Description

  • Sold as a set of 2.
  • Featuring a heavy black lacquer and painted garden scenes depicting myriad birds, including cranes, phoenixes, magpies and ducks amidst a lush landscape of auspicious flowers, including peonies, chrysanthemums, lotuses and flowering cherry blossoms rendered in a sancai palette.
  • Each bottom frieze depicts scholars objects, including potted vases, books, scrolls, peaches and "Buddha's fingers," while the aprons are carved with stylized dragons.
  • Each interior features a shelf with two drawers, a removable shelf and a hidden compartment below.
