A Gosu-akae-type porcelain bowl from the late Ming, early Qing dynasty.

  • Produced in China for export to Japan as well as Southeast Asia in the Ming and early Qing dynasties.
  • Freely rendered with lively brushstrokes in overglaze red and green with calligraphy and stylized bats.
  • Old paper label to bottom.
