Description
British automobile manufacturer Bentley, 2002, Bentley commissioned Breitling to design the onboard clock for the Continental GT. A year later, the Continental GT debuted with the fusion of expertise between the brands. Breitling looked back on their aviation chronograph launched in 1931 for the design. The brand’s expertise in monitoring and chronographs made the collaboration steady. Furthermore, Willy Breitling, grandson of Léon Breitling, has been a devoted Bentley enthusiast. The brand’s leader was a familiar face behind the wheel of his collection of Bentleys. Subsequently, the brands extended their partnership at the 24 Hours at Le Mans race. Breitling sponsored Bentley at the race in 2003 and was behind the brand through its win. For this reason, Breitling crafted the limited-edition chronograph, Bentley Le Mans. Breitling has created limited-edition timepieces for Bentley, and the Breitling Bentley was born.
This Limited Edition Bentley Midnight Carbon reference M4736212-B919 is a stainless steel automatic wristwatch with chronograph, date and GMT, circa 2010, with a black ion-plated stainless steel case with a rotating pinion bezel. Black dial with luminous hands and index hour markers. GMT scale appears around the outer rim. The date display appears at the 6 o'clock position. 30 seconds, 15 minutes and 6-hour totalizer sub-dials. Mechanical self-winding movement. Scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. Deployment clasp. Water resistant 100 meters. A limited edition of 1,000 pieces was made. This watch comes with paper and box.
Condition Report
FairCase is in overall fair condition with moderate surface wear. Bracelet has signs of stretch, scratches and surface wear throughout commensurate with age. Buckle has moderate signs of scratches. All diamonds are intact. Crystal has moderate signs of scratches and surface wear throughout commensurate with age. Case-back has signs of scratches. The movement is running at the time of cataloging, however, it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion.
