  • Rectangular, the lid engraved with the arms of the 4th Earl of Clarendon, Viceroy of Ireland, within a raised border of chased rose, thistle and shamrock, applied matching thumbpiece, the waisted sides and base engraved with strapwork, the base further centered with the coat of arms of Trinity College, Dublin

  • French import marks for 18 carat gold and Irish hallmarks for 18 carat gold
