Description
The first Royal Oak was created in 1972 and designed by legendary watchmaker Gérald Genta, who drew inspiration for its shape from a ship's porthole and completed its blueprints overnight. It was introduced as the world's first luxury watch in stainless steel in an attempt to revitalize traditional watchmaking from the quartz crisis.
This Royal Oak Reference 15400OR.OO.D002CR.01 is a rose gold automatic wristwatch with date, circa 2016, case in 18K rose gold, in diameter 41 mm, glare-proofed sapphire crystal and caseback and screw-locked crown. Black dial with “Grande Tapisserie” pattern, pink gold applied hour markers and Royal Oak hands with luminescent coating. Black rubber strap with 18K rose gold folding clasp. Water resistance 50 meters. Functions: hours, minutes, center seconds and date. Power reserve 60 hours. Automatic movement, caliber 3120 with 40 jewels. This watch comes with paper and box.

Very GoodThe watch is in overall very good condition. Case is in overall very good condition with minor surface wear. Bracelet has signs of stretch, scratches and surface wear throughout commensurate with age. Buckle has signs of scratches. Crystal has signs of scratches and surface wear throughout commensurate with age. Case back has signs of scratches. The movement is running at the time of cataloging, however, it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion.
