Description

American Sheraton cherry flip-top games table made in New Jersey.

  • Gated swing leg.
  • Figured cherry veneered apron.
  • Carved leg dies to tapered, turned and reeded legs.

Provenance

A provenance note is affixed to the underside of the table, "Jan. 1921. This table was made from a cherry tree at Gulf Mills about 1795, and given to Rebecca Brooke when she married Reese Thomas in 1810. Anna Barber Chambers. Audubon, New Jersey."
