Description

American sterling silver etched punch bowl.

  • Made by Gorham Mfg. Co. in Providence, Rhode Island.
  • Round shape bowl with two handles rested on round stepped foot.
  • Decorated with floral frieze across and bearing a dedicatory inscription: "L. Clark Seelye, the President of Smith College, 1873 -1910, by the Members of the Faculty , June 1910."
  • It came with its original wood chest.
  • Fully marked, including maker’s stamp and number A2004.
