Description
In 2002 Nike released its first inaugural foray into celebrating the Chinese New Year with the Air Force 1 ‘Year of the Horse’. This exclusive pair features an all-white leather upper with a red tongue patch embroidered with Chinese characters. The word ‘Horse’ is detailed across the outer heel of both shoes. The white swooshes are subtly lined with alternating red and blue borders. A translucent outsole tops off the shoes clean and minimal design.
Originally released in 1982, the Air Force 1 is named after the presidential aircraft. Designed by Bruce Kilgore, it was the first basketball shoe to feature revolutionary air pocket technology. Today it is one of Nike’s most iconic, best selling sneakers.
