This 2019 AF1 collaboration between CLOT and Nike commemorates the 10-year anniversary of their iconic first 1World partnership. CLOT co-founders Edison Chen and Kevin Poon’s design celebrates the traditional concept of Yin and Yang and balance of externalism and internalism. 

The unique build features patterned CLOT Royale Deluxe blue silk fabric that can be burned, cut, scratched or torn to reveal grey leather underneath. CLOT has shared their intention behind the double layer was a reminder to look beyond the surface and “search for what lies within." The matching pattern of the silk and leather is inspired by thousand-year-old Chinese decorative designs symbolizing luck and prosperity.

Originally released in 1982, the Air Force 1 is named after the presidential aircraft. Designed by Bruce Kilgore, it was the first basketball shoe to feature revolutionary air pocket technology. Today it is one of Nike’s most iconic, best-selling sneakers.
