​​For the 35th anniversary of the adidas Superstars in 2005, a total of 35 different pairs were put on the market. Segmented into five different categories — Consortium, Expression, Music, City and Anniversary Series — each category had seven unique takes on the same iconic silhouette, rendering 35 highly unique and sought-after adidas Superstars. 

Offered here is the adidas Superstar 35th Anniversary in collaboration with Los Angeles store UNION. Released as the 5th installment of the Consortium collection, these purple pairs were highly limited with just 400 pairs produced. UNION’s take on the adidas Superstar involved a playful purple leather upper, contrasted with purple snakeskin stripes on the sides and heel. On the heels there is the embossed gold Frontman logo — designed by artist and friend of the brand, Sung Choi — which was a design that UNION had discontinued up until their 30th Anniversary in 2021, when it was reintroduced. Unique 35th Anniversary graphics can be found on the insoles, rear of the tongue and gold Consortium branded deubres.
