Pair of monumental Ming Lions.

  • Turquoise and aubergine glaze.
  • The female faces left, with mouth open in a roar and left forepaw restraining her playful cub.
  • The male faces right, with right forepaw set on a beribboned brocade ball.
  • Each modeled with ferocious expression, curly brows and mane, bulging eyes, upswept ears and bell-hung collar secured with a ribbon.
