The Saxonia Automatik has become a classic timepiece from German manufacturer A. Lange & Söhne. This model was one of the four watches that the brand released in its first collection in 1994 after relaunching.
Featuring exceptional finishes and mechanical precision the present model has a self-winding movement which can be admired thanks to the see through caseback. Moreover, the watch features A. Lange & Söhne’s signature date display with two apertures and has a fly back function for the small seconds which resets the seconds hand when the crown is pulled, resulting in smoother use and allowing for more precise time keeping.
Cased in platinum, the present lot stands as a celebration of the highest horological achievements in combination with A. Lange & Söhne’s timeless elegance and will indeed add to any serious watch collection or mark the standard for a new one.
The watch is in overall is in very good condition. The case is in very good condition, presenting surface scratching throughout with some small dents on the sides of the case at 4 and 10 o'clock. The dial is in very good condition. The movement and chronograph are running at the time of cataloging, however, it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion.
