Description
The manufacturer was founded in Geneva by Franck Muller and Vartan Sirmakes to create exclusive timepieces characterized by complicated movements and original designs. In October 2002, Franck Muller was granted the first prize of the Genève Watchmaking Grand Prix.
The Giga Tourbillon is an exceptional model for which the high-precision work by the research and development team has once again demonstrated its expertise and vision. The barrels are paired in series to double the power reserve; they are then assembled parallel to each other, the movement also being doubled. The barrels are 16mm in diameter, which gives them the almost constant force required for the operation of the Giga Tourbillon. Another characteristic of this system, this exceptional movement has been reversed, the bridges are found on the dial side, the time-setting part and the crown on the back side, and the hour hand is located on the minute hand. This Giga Tourbillon has been enriched with two pairs of barrels, unlike traditional tourbillons which generally have only one or two. This watch comes with a full set of original papers and box.

Like NewThe watch is in excellent, new condition. The strap has very minor signs of stretch at the back side throughout commensurate with age. The movement is running at the time of cataloging, however, it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement.
