Alessandro Borruso, Head of Sales Sotheby’s Diamonds, is a Fellow of the Gemmological Association and a Fellow of the Institute of Registered Valuers, he has over 18 years of experience working with diamonds and fine jewellery. From sales of antique, vintage jewels and modern bespoke creations to insurance valuations including grading all the diamonds used in ‘For the Love of God’, Damien Hirst’s diamond-encrusted skull.
