This work is in very good condition overall. Evidence of light tarnishing observed on the underside of the pipes and the front elbow of the figure which is consistent with the work's age. Uneven surface along the lower edge of spine of the figure is observed upon close examination, which is inherent to the artist's method of execution. Three holes located on the reverse, at the ends of both pipes and the figure's head are intrinsic to the artist's chosen method of execution.
