THOUSAND CHARACTER CLASSIC (QIAN ZI WEN) IN CURSIVE SCRIPT
signed Zhang Rubi, dated dinghai, the third year of the Chenghua reign, spring, the twenty-third day of the second lunar month (March 28, 1467), with two seals of the artist, ru bi, bing xu jin shi. Titleslip by Wu Ping, signed Kanbai Wu Ping, dated renshen (1992), winter solstice, with two seals, wu ping, kan bai. Frontispiece by Zhang Daqian, signed Yuan, dated xinyou (1981), the seventieth year of the Republic, the second lunar month, with two seals, zhang yuan zhi yin, da qian ju shi. Colophons by Cheng Tingqing, signed Chen Tingqing, dated renshen (1812) of the Jiaqing reign, the eighth lunar month, with three seals, chen ting qing yin, shi qu, gu hua jiu shi; Yu Youren, signed Yu Youren, the thirty-ninth year of the Republic, with one seal, you ren; Pu Ru, signed Pu Ru, dated jichou (1949), winter, the twelfth lunar month, with one seal, pu ru; and Wu Ping, signed Kanbai Wu Ping, dated renshen (1992), winter solstice, with two seals, wu ping, kan bai.
