This work is in excellent overall condition as viewed. There are pinholes at each of the four corners. There are slight abrasions to the edges due to abrasions from the frame, but this does not take away from the overall quality of the work. There are two small and faint scratches to paint at left side of upper edge, only visible under a flashlight. There is evidence of very fine craquelure, consistent with age and medium. There is a very small area of paint loss to white paint at left side of hat in the background (this is visible in the catalog illustration). Examination under ultraviolet light reveals scattered spots of restoration at backdrop in upper quadrants. Framed.
