A RARE FAMILLE-VERTE OVOID JAR AND COVER
QING DYNASTY, KANGXI PERIOD
of ovoid form, resting on a splayed foot rising to a rounded shoulder, painted in vivid and lustrous famille-verte palette with a wide register of lotus on a green ground above a narrow band of floret hexagons and a band of pendent ruyi, all repeated inversely below leaving the midsection undecorated, a band of 'cracked ice' and prunus around the foot and dotted C-scrolls along the neck, the fitted domed cover similarly decorated, the base with an underglaze blue double circle (2)
