The canvas has not been lined. There are light horizontal stretcher marks near the upper and lower edges and in the centre. Ultraviolet light reveals scattered signs of retouching which are relatively minor given the overall size of the painting, notably a circa 10 by 4cm area in the arch behind and to the left of the goddess and minor strokes in her forearms, scattered strokes along the right framing edge, to a small repaired puncture in the upper left of the arch (patched on the reverse), and some strokes in the background in the upper left corner. This painting is overall in good condition and ready to hang.
Held in a decorative frame with floral and foliate motifs and a plate with the title.
The catalogue illustration is quite an accurate representation of the painting, although the colours are slightly richer in reality.
