To pay homage to this well-accomplished pilot, the Real Macoy’s, a Japanese clothing brand, introduced a modified GMT II 16700, adding an extra line of red text over “GMT-Master”, featuring Chuck Yaeger’s name. Two aircrafts are engraved on the caseback, the X1 and the P51. The X1 was the first aircraft he piloted to break through the sound barrier, and the P51 was a signature aircraft he piloted in WWII.
