Condition
This gelatin silver print is in generally fair to good condition. There is a 1/4-inch scratch in the upper left quadrant of the image as well as some scattered, tiny impressions that appear to break the emulsion. In raking light, the following are visible: several glossy deposits, possibly glass offsetting, primarily in the lower portion of the image; scattered superficial scratches and scuffs that do not appear to break the emulsion; and a very slight rippling to the surface along the right edge of the image.
There is a deep impression in the lower right margin that perforates the paper almost through to the back of the mount. This corresponds to a raised area at the lower left on the reverse. Throughout the margins are scattered tiny impressions and scratches that appear to break the emulsion. There are some glossy deposits, possibly glass offsetting, primarily in the lower margin, and a black linear deposit of indeterminate nature in the upper right margin.
Scattered soiling is visible on the reverse.
