gelatin silver print, solarized and ferrotyped, numbered 306 in pencil on the reverse, 1930s
Provenance
Galerie MEM, Osaka
Condition
This ferrotyped print, on double-weight paper, is in generally very good condition. As is typical of the ferrotyping process, a slight unevenness of the generally glossy surface and minor pitting are visible in raking light. There are several soft and sharp creases overall that do not appear to break the emulsion. Upon close examination, a few extremely faint linear impressions along the upper and lower edges of the print are visible. The edges and corners are somewhat bumped, and there is a sharp crease across the upper left corner that appears to break the emulsion. Fingerprints and dark areas are visible throughout the margins.
The reverse is soiled and scuffed faintly in several places. The following notations are written in pencil: '306,' '87-641,' 'OS#2,' '2_8S_,' and an illegible inscription.
