Description

  • 38.7 cm, 15 1/4  in.
each of ovoid form, the domed cover modelled in the form of a veined lotus leaf surmounted by a spiral finial, applied overall with a white glaze

Condition

One cover with a small chip and a minor nick to the edge, the chip approx. 2 x 0.9 cm; and a small loss to the tip of the finial with an associated hairline approx. 1.4 cm. The other cover with two tiny glaze cracks to the edge with an associated flake approx. 1.2 x 0.2 cm. Both jars in overall good condition with minor surface wear and minor expected firing imperfections.
