Description

  • 12.9 cm, 5 1/8  in.
moulded with a wide band of stylised taotie masks, below lotus lappets and ruyi bands, covered overall in a crackled ivory-white glaze

Collection of Kate Sturgis Buckingham (1858-1937).
Collection of Lucy Maud Buckingham (1870-1920), accessioned to the Art Institute of Chicago in 1924.

Condition

The vase is in good overall condition. Some of the crackles in the glaze are stained.
