Description

  • 13.7 cm, 5 3/8  in.
modelled after a Han dynasty bronze prototype, worked in low relief with archaistic scrolls and bosses above stylised lappets, the cover surmounted by two chilong, the jade of a celadon tone mottled in brown

Condition

There are expected minor flakes to the fragile edges and extremities, including the rims, edges of the handle and carving on the cover. As visible in the catalogue photo, there are natural flaws and pitting to the stone.
