Catalogue Note

Movado approached Andy Warhol to create an artwork using a watch as medium. The collaboration between Warhol and the Movado Museum Collection started shortly before his death in 1987 and the watches were released posthumously in 1988. Each dial depicts a different monochrome picture of Warhol’s hometown, New York City. Only 250 were produced of this timepiece, this being number 123. This particular watch is in very good condition with little signs of wear and is accompanied by its original box and display case.
