Catalogue Note

Produced between the early 1970's until 1987, the reference 6263 bore the famous 'sigma' signature for only a few years. This refers to the addition of the Greek letter sigma; σ T SWISS T σ at 6 o'clock. It was used by the Swiss watch industry to denote the use of gold parts to the dial - in this instance, the indexes.
This present example is particularly attractive with its combination of black bezel and black dial. The omission of the red Daytona creates an assured harmony throughout which is nicely contrasted by the subsidiary dials, chronograph graduation as well as the tachymeter scale on the original bezel. The appeal of the watch is further enhanced by the gentle patina of the indexes and the hands.
This elegant 'black and white' Sigma 6263 is fitted in a well preserved case with its original solid 78350 bracelet and matching end links.
It represents an excellent opportunity to acquire an unusual example of this celebrated Daytona.
