Catalogue Note

One of the most exclusive collections of Louis Moinet is certainly the 'Treasures of the world'. The highly complicated pieces are decorated with dials made of exceptional materials. Besides the use more classic meteorite, jade, lapis lazuli or opal that can be found on other watches, the present piece features a unique petrified sequoia dial. The subtle nuances of the wood are perfectly complemented by the pink and white gold 47mm case to provide an impressive yet warm result.
The dial is separated in two parts by a vertical three-arm bridge in the shape of an inverted Y. This hand-bevelled component links the tourbillon at 6 o'clock and the mainspring at 12 o'clock which is surrounded by the power reserve indication.
Preserved in excellent condition, this unique watch is both an aesthetically and mechanically interesting modern timepiece proudly bearing the signature of one of the most important watchmakers in history.
