Condition

DIAL: in overall very good condition, with very discrete speckle on 7 o'clock luminescent plot. Hands are original and in good condition CASE: with scratches and marks throughout, larger scratches to the side of the case between 4 and 5 and 6 to 9, several smaller scratches to the outside of the lugs, case has possibly been polished during a previous service; bezel insert bears one scratch at 6 and 2 scratches at 9 with a handful of other very discrete marks. Inside caseback is engraved 16710. Bracelet: 78790 (X1) with 501 B endlinks. Bracelet shows some signs of light stretching, with scuffs throughout. Clasp closes securely. MOVEMENT: running at the time of cataloguing, date advances, seconds hack, dual-time function working Please note that the movement has not been tested for the accuracy of its timekeeping. Catalogue Note

Over its 18 years of production, the Rolex GMT Master reference 16710 was fitted with dials with different luminescent materials: Tritium, Luminova and Superluminova.
The present lot is fitted with the correct Luminova dial which had the shortest production period, between 1998-1999 only. It can be identified by the Swiss only signature at 6 o'clock.
